Delivery / Returns Policy
After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details within a few minutes of ordering. We will attempt to send your goods within 24 hours after receipt of payment; however, if goods are unavailable you will be notiified. Orders placed before 10 am will be dispatched on the same day.
Most orders (except for bulky items) for delivery within Australia totalling AUD$200.00 and above are sent FREIGHT FREE, via standard delivery methods only. (i.e. not Express Service or Courier). For Courier delivery (extra charge $11.75), please advise a SECURE area to leave your parcel if no-one will be available to sign. Should express delivery be required for orders over $200.00, the normal $19.95 Express Post charge will be applied. Larger items incur an extra charge, which is calculated by postcode and visible prior to final payment. Large items can only be sent by courier. Express Post is not offered in this case.
Wholesale orders may be subject to varying rates, depending on the size of the order, and are not subject to the same delivery terms as mentioned in the above paragraph.
Retail orders for delivery within Australia totalling AUD$199.99 and below are sent in 1 of 3 ways: (Please make your selection at the checkout)
1/ Courier $11.75 Goods sent by courier must be signed for, however, if no-one will be available to take delivery, a SECURE location at the delivery address MUST BE ADVISED so the Courier can leave the parcel unattended. Please note that Insurance is NOT included for loss or damage in transit or upon delivery. Delivery to WA and NT can take 5 to 15 business days.
2/ Standard post $7.95 (goods are usually received within 2-14 days depending on location) No insurance for loss or damage. Parcels are tracked, however, should orders be sent via this method be lost, we can not cover the cost of goods or postage for redelivery. If you wish to purchase transit insurance, please contact us prior to payment.
3/ Priority Service $19.95 (orders are marked and processed with priority and sent by either Australia Post or Courier depending on physical size, delivery location). Orders are usually sent within 1-2 working days from receipt of payment. Orders placed before 10 am will be dispatched on the same day. No insurance is offered for loss or damage. A Tracking number is advised, however, no responsibility is taken for parcels lost by Australia Post and Courier if this is the method used.
*Please note that from the 24/04/2020 - Australia Post is temporarly suspending the Express Post guarantee of next day delivery as they are unable to commit to this timeframe. Express Post is still available but parcels may not be delivered next business day every time*
Standard Shipping for smaller orders under 2kg to most countries incurs a shipping charge of AU$39, and AU$25 to New Zealand, which is automatically applied at the checkout stage. Larger orders and/or certain destinations may incur extra shipping charges, and if this is applicable, the customer will be sent an invoice for this extra amount for payment prior to the goods being dispatched. Not all items are available for overseas shipping, for example, ALL hard and soft makeup cases, and Elementwo Airbrushing products are excluded from being shipped overseas, as can be seen on the relevant product pages. If one of these products is inadvertently ordered and paid for, the customer will be advised and a credit issued for the portion of the order that applies to the item/s not able to be shipped. The 'free shipping over $200' does not apply to Overseas Orders. Should insurance be required for any orders, the customer should make a note on their order, and once the extra insurance cost is calculated, the customer will receive an invoice for this portion, prior to dispatch of goods. Damage or loss in transit is not the responsibility of Designer Makeup Tools. Insurance is recommended. ALL DELIVERIES: We accept no responsibility for undelivered parcels, lost mail or damaged during transit due to the fault of Australia Post, Courier or any overseas postal service. Should a registered post be required for any deliveries, please make your request known upon ordering, and an extra fee (equal to that charged by Australia Post) will be added to your purchase total and advised once the sale is complete. Non-delivery of an item due to an incorrect or incomplete delivery address being provided is also not the responsibility of Designer Makeup Tools. For lost or missing items in your order, it must be reported strictly within 7 days of receipt of the parcel. If insurance is required, please advise prior to placing your order so that a quote can be provided.
We offer a refund service for any item that arrives with manufacturer faults within 14 days of the invoice date. Please contact us prior to returning any goods. Makeup/Skincare is non-returnable in any instance, due to hygiene laws.
Should the items ordered be unsatisfactory or you wish to exchange it due to a wrong choice on your part or the product is not what you expected, the item/s may be exchanged WITHIN 14 DAYS for item/s of equal or greater value provided that a restocking fee of 25% will be applied. A credit will be placed on your account to be used towards your next order. If you want a card refund, a 3% reversal charge will be applied. Direct deposits do not incur charges unless you are an international customer. Cost of delivery in each circumstance is the customer's responsibility. Returned items will be refunded minus the shipping cost.
Used items in any way cannot be accepted. Items will not be accepted in any condition other than new condition, and all packaging must be intact, enabling the item to be resold. Please contact us prior to returning any goods. Cost of delivery for exchange items is also at the customer expense despite invoice total.
Should the items ordered be unsatisfactory due to manufacturing faults, the item should be returned within 14 days (with prior approval) for our evaluation, and upon inspection, an item that is equal to or as close as is practicable to the item originally sold, will be provided in exchange. Alternatively, a refund may be granted if the item has become out of stock.
